Each State's Favorite Thanksgiving Dessert

They say there’s always room for dessert and we would have to agree and so do our respondents! 96.68% of the Americans surveyed ensure they have dessert on Thanksgiving. So, without further ado, let's dive right into it: What delectable treat holds the title of your state's favorite?

The unanimous verdict from across the United States is clear: pies are the ultimate Thanksgiving dessert. In fact, an overwhelming 41 states joined hands in declaring pumpkin pie as the top choice. This nationwide consensus includes states such as New York, Pennsylvania, California, Texas, Massachusetts, Illinois, and Alabama.

However, there are a few states that have distinct tastes. Mississippi, Louisiana, and the District of Columbia proudly opt for the sweet and nutty embrace of pecan pie. Tennessee residents have a shared preference for both pumpkin and pecan.

Meanwhile, Alaska, Delaware, Iowa, and New Hampshire choose the timeless comfort of Apple pie. In contrast, Wyoming differs from all states with its preferred option being peach cobbler - a slice of sunshine for the Cowboy State.
